About this grant
Established in 2005, the Ukrainian Philanthropists Forum is a professional association of charitable and philanthropic organizations. It currently has 41 members. The grantee’s mission is to foster a responsible, transparent, and accountable charitable community and to improve the effectiveness of Ukraine’s charitable sector. Key accomplishments over 2016-2018 include advocacy and support for the implementation of mobile giving, participation in the National Strategy for Civil Society Development in Ukraine, free online legal and fiscal consultations for charitable organizations, annual conferences, educational programs for foundations, and the development of a national charity rating system. The Ukrainian Philanthropists Forum strategic directions for 2018-2020 are: 1) development and implementation of standards for charitable organizations, 2) promotion of Ukraine’s charitable sector, and 3) reform of Ukraine’s social services sector.
