About this grant
Although laws and regulations have been put in place in Poland and public institutions are obliged to inform citizens about their rights, the impact is limited on some parts of society. This is especially true for people with little education living in rural areas.Multiyear funding will enable the Union of Associations of Citizen Advice Bureaux to address the situation of disengaged rural citizens by strengthening its network of advice bureaus. Project objectives include organizing workshops for the directors and board members of bureaus; increasing the number of bureaus from 22 to 50; building the capacity of personnel through training; and providing network members with timely information and advice. The union is a membership organization of citizen advice bureaus in Poland that provide training, facilitate networking and promote the idea of citizen engagement at the national level.
