About this grant
The Research and Action for Change and Equity (RACE) program supports research, education and action on race-related issues at the community level. Its objectives are to sharpen research and analysis of key issues in the region; support the capacity of community organizations to advance racial equity; develop experience with and models for collaboration among organizations of color; and develop models for predominantly white organizations and leaders to work as effective allies.Multiyear funding will enable the program to continue work initially supported through the dismantling racism program and issue-related dialogues; expand efforts of organizational development work with communities of color; and increase specific collaborative efforts.Recent accomplishments included engaging community leaders across the Northwest in dialogues on public policy issues regarding race; initiating a new training program in anti-racist organizational development; and working to build capacity among key organizations of color in the region.
