About this grant
The purpose of this grant increase is to provide Whaley Children’s Center with essential facility upgrades that will directly affect the children who live there. The grantee is a residential treatment facility for children ages 5-17 who have lived in various foster homes and have experienced some sort of trauma. There are a variety of programs and strategies offered that allow staff to build a comprehensive treatment plan for each individual child based on their specific needs. This is the only facility of its kind in Genesee County, making it an invaluable asset to the community and the children who need it most.
