New Jersey Statewide Afterschool Network

About this grant

This grant will support the New Jersey School-Age Child Care Coalition, which coordinates the New Jersey State Afterschool Network to expand access to high-quality afterschool programs for young people. Specific initiatives will include: 1) build a more sustainable and diverse afterschool workforce by providing resources for equitable recruitment, hiring and partnering with state agencies for robust career pathways development; 2) establish a youth advisory board to create engaging opportunities for young people to use their voice, contribute to program design and lead change in afterschool; 3) work with education stakeholders and policymakers to design and implement education recovery funding to help New Jersey youth recover and thrive; 4) work with the Mott Foundation to design future afterschool programs and ecosystems; and 5) support the promotion and distribution of Mizzen resources.
