About this grant

Brandeis University’s Institute for Economic and Racial Equity is a research institute that promotes programs and policies that expand economic opportunity and equity for individuals and families, particularly households of color. Renewed Mott Foundation funding will enable the Institute to support the growth and development of the Children’s Savings Account (CSA) field by coordinating CSA stakeholders, informing policy and applying and leveraging data to accelerate best practices. Significant activities planned for this grant period include: 1) data collection and evaluation; 2) supporting a learning network of grantees; 3) thought leadership; and 4) a summative report of the field’s last decade. The Mott Foundation has supported Brandeis University on asset-building and savings strategies since 2008.
