About this grant
We The People of Detroit is a community-based grassroots nonprofit organization that works on water policy issues in Michigan and nationally. With previous support from the Mott Foundation, the grantee: 1) strengthened its organization leadership and operational processes; 2) hosted the annual Great Lakes Youth Water Policy Camp in Idlewild, Michigan; and 3) secured other technical and funding partnerships. With continued support, We The People of Detroit will strengthen its institutional capacity and host Community Research Collective retreats as well as the Great Lakes Youth Water Policy Camp to advance community and youth engagement on water issues.
