About this grant
This project supports the World Wildlife Fund in expanding solar energy access for communities in the Amazon rainforest. Activities focus on coordinating civil society organizations in the Energy and Communities Network and collaborating with Brazilian government entities on off-grid solar projects as part of the Amazon Region Protected Areas Communities initiative. With this grant increase and associated grant period extension, the organization will consolidate important gains in both aspects of the project and position the work for continued success in the long term.
