About this grant
Founded in 1934, the Metropolitan Planning Council is committed to addressing critical environmental issues faced by Chicago, Illinois and the Great Lakes region, including the sustainable management of the region’s water resources. With prior Mott Foundation support, the grantee helped to implement policies and practices on a range of issues such as transit, housing, and water resources, including efforts to promote green stormwater infrastructure and accelerate lead service line replacement. This grant increase will be available for the organization’s general purposes including its water resource protection programs.
