About this grant
The Institute of Economic Justice is a South African think tank working to advance economic policy that supports human rights, communities and environmental wellbeing. The Group of 20 is a key pillar of global policymaking. Yet, there is insufficient civil society participation and oversight and no mechanism to transmit experiences and lessons learned by civil society from one country hosting the Group’s presidency to another. This grant will support the Institute as it works with the South African presidency of the Group of 20 to advance policies for a just energy transition and climate finance that does not fund harmful infrastructure.
