Michigan Communities for Financial Empowerment Network

About this grant

The Community Economic Development Association of Michigan works to expand and strengthen financial security in communities across the state. Since 2011, the Mott Foundation has supported the grantee’s efforts coordinating statewide engagement and education activities that increase awareness and support for children’s savings accounts. With this grant, the grantee will focus on expanding access to children’s savings accounts across Michigan. This proposed project scope will work to: 1) improve Children’s Savings Account Network engagement; 2) increase access to resources and provide responsive technical assistance to children’s savings account programs; and 3) strengthen the overall impact and sustainability of children’s savings account efforts in Michigan. This project promises significant long-term benefits for Michigan’s students and the state’s overall economic well-being.
