About this grant
The Coalition for Human Rights in Development is a global network of nongovernmental organizations — housed at Social and Environmental Entrepreneurs — working to mitigate the social and environmental impacts of large-scale infrastructure and energy finance. With prior Mott Foundation funding, the grantee established and developed the Community Resource Exchange, which shares skills, tools and resources to build the capacity of grassroots organizations and communities seeking to: 1) defend their rights; 2) promote environmental sustainability; and 3) make energy and infrastructure investments more responsive to their needs. With renewed support, the Community Resource Exchange will continue to facilitate peer learning and capacity building as well as strengthening collective campaigns on shared challenges.
