Superintendents as Leaders for High-Quality Afterschool and Summer Learning Opportunities

About this grant

This grant will enable the American Association of School Administrators to support state and local education leaders in implementing high-quality afterschool and summer learning programs. Specifically, the grantee will: 1) provide technical assistance to state superintendents and district leaders on exemplary afterschool program models; 2) develop and implement a communications initiative to share best practices among education stakeholders; 3) convene state education leaders and state networks to expand afterschool program access; and 4) work deeply in up to 12 states to develop exemplary program models and practices that can be shared across all 50 states.
