Promoting Environmental and Social Standards in the Financial Sector

About this grant

Urgewald is a German-based organization that works to establish strong, binding environmental and social standards for international development finance institutions and builds public support for responsible and accountable development finance institutions. To achieve these goals, the grantee undertakes research, education and advocacy efforts with a global network of local communities, nongovernmental organizations and other partners. With this increase, Urgewald will organize a strategy retreat to develop plans for long-term engagement with multilateral development banks on accountability, advocacy and system-level influence.
