About this grant
This grant increase will support the Iowa Children’s Museum which coordinates the Iowa Statewide Afterschool Network to leverage opportunities to expand access to high-quality afterschool programs for young people. With this increase and extension, the grantee will continue to: 1) enhance professional development opportunities for afterschool providers through new partnerships statewide, with a focus on staff and youth wellbeing; 2) utilize family engagement strategies to improve youth outcomes, share resources and generate new partnerships with key afterschool stakeholders; and 3) increase the sustainability of high-quality afterschool programs.
