About this grant
This grant increase will support the South Carolina Afterschool Alliance which coordinates the South Carolina Statewide Afterschool Network to leverage opportunities to expand access to high-quality afterschool programs for young people. With this increase and extension, the grantee will continue to: 1) increase the sustainability of high-quality afterschool programs for youth in South Carolina; 2) enhance quality programs through updating quality assessment tools and increased training for afterschool educators; 3) increase college and career exploration and coaching for youth through afterschool and summer learning programs; and 4) increase public awareness of afterschool programs strategic communications and elevating youth voice.
