About this grant
The Flint River and its tributaries are a critical recreational resource for the region’s residents while also providing a vital habitat for a variety of freshwater species and wildlife. The Flint River Watershed Coalition works to protect the Flint River and its tributaries. In 2024, the Flint River Watershed Coalition became a program of the Genesee County Parks and Recreation Commission. With this grant for operations, the Flint River Watershed Coalition will maintain all of its educational, programmatic and outreach efforts and attend to its organizational development needs.
