About this grant
Launched in 2004, the Sectoral Employment Impact Study produced some of the most significant evidence in the workforce development field and changed national narratives about job training and poverty alleviation. This grant will enable the Economic Mobility Corporation to extend the study and examine impacts 15 to 17 years after the original participants were enrolled in the program. Planned activities during the three-year grant period include data collection and analysis, publishing reports and dissemination of findings to practitioners, policymakers, funders, researchers and other workforce development stakeholders. The Economic Mobility Corporation identifies, develops and evaluates programs and policies that enable disadvantaged individuals to acquire the education, skills and networks needed to succeed in the labor market so that they can support themselves and their families.
