About this grant
This grant to the United Way of Genesee County will provide operating support for Flintside, a community-based online publication. Flintside focuses on positive stories and important community issues that impact Flint residents. Created, in part, for Flint residents to tell their own stories rather than outside publications telling the story of Flint and those who live here, Flintside is part of a large local journalism ecosystem in Flint. Flintside also provides training and support to neighborhood-based journalists who focus on local stories and solutions.
