About this grant
Right to Protection will provide a range of legal support and services to internally displaced as well as persons affected as a result of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Working across 22 regions of the country, the grantee will provide responsive legal information, assistance, and where appropriate, litigation to ensure justice needs are met. The grantee will train judges and their assistants, while also providing wider legal education services to the public. Additionally, the grantee will address systemic legal issues that may act as barriers to conflict-affected groups securing their rights. During 2023 through 2025, the grantee provided over 150,000 legal consultations through its multiple online and offline channels. The grantee prepared a comprehensive study assessing impacts on victims of the war, their compensation needs and access to legal remedies. Formally established in 2013, Right to Protection is dedicated to protecting the rights of asylum seekers, refugees, stateless and undocumented persons as well as internally displaced and conflict affected persons.
