About this grant

The Bank Information Center is a civil society organization with extensive experience monitoring development finance institutions and helping them improve their transparency, accountability and safeguard policies. Building on this track record, the project aims to strengthen accountability and improve social and environmental outcomes across the Inter-American Development Bank’s investments in the Amazon. Over the grant period, the grantee will support civil society oversight and engagement of Indigenous peoples and traditional communities around the grantee’s Amazon Forever and Conexión Sur programs, which finance sustainable forest production and large-scale infrastructure across the region. The grant will also support efforts to document lessons learned, strengthen the grantee’s Amazon Advisory Panel and build local capacity to engage meaningfully in Bank Information Center-led processes.
