About this grant
This grant will support the Ferris Wheel Innovation Center, known as 100K Ideas, to strengthen entrepreneurial thinking among youth as emerging professionals through hands-on programs and ecosystem collaboration. The grantee, established in 2017, aims to help entrepreneurs grow in under-resourced communities. During this grant period, the goals are to: 1) engage youth in entrepreneurial skill building; 2) prepare youth as emerging professionals for the workforce; 3) strengthen the local entrepreneurial ecosystem; and 4) expand entrepreneurial education across Flint and Genesee County. Together, these efforts will prepare the next generation to succeed in a world where innovation and an entrepreneurial mindset are essential.
