About this grant
This grant will enable United Way of Genesee County to take advantage of a $10 million state allocation aimed at expanding affordable housing options in Flint for underserved residents. The funding will be used to engage a specialized consultant who will guide the housing project from the pre-development phase through to completion. Additionally, this grant will support cash flow needs and cover loan interest expenses while United Way of Genesee County awaits reimbursement from the approved state funds.
