About this grant
Bridge Michigan’s Environment Watch is a digital newspaper published by the Center for Michigan, a nonprofit organization that seeks to make Michigan better through high-quality, nonpartisan journalism. Bridge Michigan is also a contributing partner in the Great Lakes News Collaborative, a Mott-funded initiative that seeks to improve news coverage of water issues in the region. With previous support from the Mott Foundation, coverage of these issues has gained audience support and growth, increased readership and subscribers, as well as garnered several awards. With renewed support, the Center for Michigan will continue to produce in-depth, high-quality, public-service journalism for its Environment Watch publication and the Great Lakes News Collaborative.
