About this grant
This grant will support Arkansas State University, which coordinates the Arkansas Statewide Afterschool Network to expand access to high-quality afterschool programs for young people. Specific initiatives will include: 1) increase the number of afterschool programs available for young people in Arkansas; 2) increase the quality of afterschool programs through equipping afterschool and community leaders with the tools needed to design and implement high-quality programs; 3) expand parent and youth coalition building in the state to educate local and state leaders on the importance of afterschool access; and 4) increase access to quality afterschool programs through Mizzen Education, Inc.
