About this grant
Fundación Ambiente y Recursos Naturales is an Argentinian civil society organization advancing sustainable development through policy, legal advocacy and civic engagement. With prior Mott support, the grantee supported communities affected by fossil fuel and other energy projects and engaged financial actors on associated risks. With this grant, the grantee, together with its partners Fundación CAUCE and Fundeps, will continue to monitor energy projects and strengthen the governance of energy finance in Argentina. Activities include monitoring energy and infrastructure projects, engaging in safeguards and policy processes, supporting affected communities and analyzing how conditions imposed by the International Monetary Fund constrict fiscal space and influence energy investment decisions.
