About this grant
The Amazon Environmental Research Institute, a nonprofit research organization based in Brazil, works to advance understanding of fire and other climate dynamics in the Amazon. In the previous grant period, the organization analyzed and disseminated evidence on how fire regimes drive ecological and social changes in the Brazilian Amazon. In this renewal, the grantee will deepen research on climate-induced changes in the forest, support climate adaptation strategies and expand knowledge dissemination, with the goal of strengthening the resilience of forests and communities.
