About this grant
The project goal is to promote and scale access to justice for poor and vulnerable people in Kenya. The International Commission of Jurists-Kenya Section plans to do this by leveraging, optimizing and driving the implementation of existing laws and policies on people-centered justice. Prior support has allowed the grantee to undertake and publish research on justice financing and implementation. It also supported and sustained an active network of over 400 community paralegals in six counties of Kenya. The International Commission of Jurists-Kenya Section was established in 1959 and has a membership of more than 500 Kenyan jurists.
