About this grant
Global Dialogue, based in London, United Kingdom, promotes human rights and social change by supporting collaboration among funders and grantmakers worldwide. Through the Funders’ Initiative for Civil Society, the organization provides research, strategic analysis and convening opportunities that help philanthropy respond to the global trend of shrinking civic space. During the previous grant period, the Funders’ Initiative for Civil Society expanded its influence through research, donor education and strategic grantmaking, while successfully launching the independent Global Narrative Hive and strengthening its Civic Futures initiative. During this grant period, the grantee will update its flagship Rethinking Civic Space analysis, deepen its Civic Futures work on national security and civic space and expand engagement with climate philanthropy to strengthen donor understanding of the enabling conditions necessary for civil society to thrive.
