About this grant
The Conservation Fund is a national nonprofit organization that has advanced sustainable development through innovative land conservation programs since 1985. The Saginaw Bay Watershed Initiative Network is a multistakeholder effort in Michigan led by the grantee over the past 20 years. The initiative works with local communities in the watershed to identify priority projects that protect water and other environmental resources while supporting economic and social sustainability. The Conservation Fund, through this project, will support a watershed regranting program, strengthen public engagement on key watershed issues and pilot a funding mechanism to advance nature-based water solutions through place-based initiatives.
