About this grant
Milwaukee Water Commons is a grassroots organization focused on community engagement and organizing around water and environmental justice in the Great Lakes region. The grantee helps strengthen community and water leadership and inform policy through initiatives to build water, climate and racial equity in Milwaukee and Wisconsin. Milwaukee Water Commons addresses the need to include community input into policy change, especially for those who have historically been excluded from the process, such as lead service line replacement and contaminants in drinking water. A new grant from the Mott Foundation will support the grantee’s water programs, partnerships and policy work in the city, state and region.
