About this grant
Kara Solar is advancing a proven model of solar-powered river transportation that strengthens Indigenous communities, protects ecosystems and builds capacity in remote Amazonian territories. This increase will be available for the general purpose of Kara Solar, including expanding the staff team, improving the solar boat technology and providing community training programs in Ecuador. It will also enable Kara Solar to convene a regional learning exchange and provide training to partner organizations in Brazil and Peru.
