About this grant

This grant will support Red Lantern Consulting, LLC in serving as a strategic learning and field-building partner for the Foundation’s Youth Leadership initiative. Building on Red Lantern’s successful 2025 evaluation of the Youth Engagement portfolio, the organization will help the Foundation strengthen its efforts to position Flint as a model community while advancing youth entrepreneurship and leadership opportunities nationally. Specifically, Red Lantern will: 1) provide field-building strategy and advisory support to help identify emerging opportunities, challenges and trends in the youth entrepreneurship and leadership fields; 2) convene and facilitate Brain Trust meetings that bring together practitioners, experts and partners to inform strategy, strengthen relationships and surface promising practices; and 3) support ongoing learning, sense-making and decision-making by synthesizing insights from the field and helping staff translate knowledge into strategic action. Through these activities, Red Lantern will help the Foundation build the knowledge, partnerships and systems necessary to inform grantmaking, strengthen ecosystem development and advance long-term youth leadership and entrepreneurship outcomes.
