About this grant
This grant will support Project Invent’s national youth entrepreneurship model, which uses a train-the-trainer approach to equip educators with the tools, curriculum, coaching and support needed to engage young people in solving real-world community challenges through invention and entrepreneurship. Through this grant, the grantee will: 1) provide hands-on invention and entrepreneurship experiences that help students identify problems, design solutions, build prototypes and pitch their ideas; 2) train and support educators and facilitators to deliver high-quality, student-centered innovation learning experiences; 3) connect youth with community partners and industry mentors to ensure inventions address authentic needs and expose students to entrepreneurial and STEM career pathways; 4) strengthen students’ entrepreneurial mindsets, creativity, problem-solving and confidence through real-world application; and 5) deepen evidence of effective youth entrepreneurship practices and expand pathways for youth to advance their inventions and entrepreneurial potential, particularly for students with limited access to such opportunities.
