Macie Schriner

Growing up in a small town near Flint, Macie Schriner and her siblings were frequent visitors to the city. “Activities at the Flint Cultural Center — which are, for the most part, free — were a big part of my family’s outings when I was growing up,” she said. Those activities helped cement a love of the arts, which led her to a year of classes at the Flint Institute of Arts, followed by a Bachelor of Fine Arts, specializing in graphic design, from Central Michigan University. Her fascination with late 19th century European art leads her on regular trips to see art exhibits in the U.S. and abroad. Schriner came to the Foundation after nearly a decade as communications director at Planned Parenthood Affiliates of Michigan, followed by a position as manager of e-marketing and emerging technologies at the Greater Lansing Convention and Visitors Bureau.
