Jill A. Powell

About

As grants assistant with Mott’s Grants Administration division, where she manages the Foundation’s central grant files, Jill Powell plays a key role in data verification and grant compliance. She’s also regularly recruited by the Foundation’s executive office to help prepare materials for board of trustees meetings, a task she’s helped with since she was hired as a word processor in 2000. Prior to joining the Foundation, Powell worked as a certified legal assistant for a large law firm in Southeastern Michigan. She has an associate degree from Baker College in Flint and a bachelor’s degree from Oakland University. A fitness enthusiast, she is a licensed Zumba instructor, certified group fitness instructor, personal trainer and coach. Powell is married with two children, a proud grandmother of four boys and dedicated “mom” of four rescue puppies, Cruz, Tanner, Rudy and Chica.
