About this grant
The Corporation for a Skilled Workforce seeks to develop a network for states interested in learning about best practices and evidence-based approaches to successfully move families into employment and out of poverty. The network of officials from six to eight states–including Michigan–will provide an ongoing vehicle for joint problem solving, sharing of innovative ideas, and development of best practices. The grantee will convene the participating officials two to three times annually, while facilitating ongoing communications between in-person meetings through conference calls and electronic means. Corporation for a Skilled Workforce is a national, nonprofit policy and research organization based in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
