“Partnering with the Mott Foundation has been pivotal for Crim Fitness Foundation throughout its evolution, from a race to a foundation working to improve well-being in our community. The Mott Foundation is willing to be a thought partner, supporting visionary programs with an eye toward sustainable change and improving systems. With its partnership approach, the Mott Foundation builds capacity in nonprofits and organizations, strengthening our community through collaborative synergy. For the Crim specifically, they have helped support strategic, successful community outreach through our Festival of Races, SNAP-Ed Nutrition Education, Flint Olympian & CANUSA Games, AmeriCorps and Community Education. More than 250,000 participants have crossed the Crim Race finish line, more families are incorporating healthy eating and physical activity, the reimagined Community Education strategy provided wraparound supports for 4,000+ individuals, and kids can now play Crim sports for free with the opportunity to compete in CANUSA, the nation’s longest-running international games.”
