About this grant
The project goal is to foster learning, networking and joint action amongst community foundations and community foundation support organizations in East Africa. To achieve this, the East Africa Philanthropy Network will provide a space for community foundations and community philanthropy organizations to connect, share experiences and participate in wider philanthropy conversations. In addition, the grantee will profile the work of community foundations through case studies, and case stories that support cross-border learning. Established in 2003, the East Africa Philanthropy Network brings together foundations, trusts and other philanthropic organizations to build a learning community and strengthen the philanthropy field and practice in the region. With members in Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and Uganda, the grantee creates learning opportunities for members, produces knowledge that benefits the philanthropy sector in the region and profiles its work in the wider philanthropy field.
