Afterschool College and Career Readiness Initiative

About this grant

This grant to the Wyoming Community Foundation will enable the Wyoming Statewide Afterschool Network to increase the availability and expansion of financial education and college affordability planning by enhancing quality afterschool and summer learning opportunities for underserved youth. This project will support the network to 1) develop a mentorship model and program for youth to navigate barriers associated with college affordability; 2) increase the number of youth and families participating in financial wellness and college planning initiatives; and 3) build awareness and alignment among new and key stakeholders to address the gap of supports for youth and families engaged in financial literacy and college affordability planning. The Wyoming Community Foundation will share promising practices and resources with the 50 state networks and the Mizzen by Mott App to enhance college and career readiness initiatives in afterschool programs nationally.
