About this grant
The program goal is to strengthen the capacity of community foundations in Europe to contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. To this end, the Academy for the Development of Philanthropy in Poland will provide tailor-made grantmaking and technical assistance programs to European community foundations to help them consolidate their work on the global goals. The grantee will develop a series of learning materials to increase the knowledge and expertise about the global goals available to the community foundation field. In addition, the grantee will document and publicize the contribution of European community foundations to the global goals. During the past grant period, the grantee provided 22 grants totaling more than $297,000 to community foundations in 11 countries to support their engagement with the global goals as well as 19 grants totaling over $260,000 to community foundations supporting Ukrainian refugees. The grantee also published a series of learning materials and organized learning events to increase the capacity of European community foundations to contribute to the global goals.
