About this grant
The project goal is to generate knowledge and evidence on the impact of community paralegals in addressing injustices in Africa. To this end, the University of the Western Cape has collaborated with the African Centre of Excellence on Access to Justice by providing research support to document the work of community paralegals in 18 African countries. Continued support will allow the grantee to increase its reach on the work of community paralegals in four additional African countries. The research continues to build an informed map of community paralegal activities and people-centered justice across Africa. The grantee also plans to publish a book to spotlight the work of community justice workers in Africa.
