About this grant
The Music Around Town series, formerly known as Music in the Parks, is a broad community partnership led by the Flint Institute of Music. This program offers musical performances in public places around Flint and Genesee County. The public locations offer residents access to multiple free performances by the musicians from the Flint Symphony Orchestra, Flint School of Performing Arts, Flint Repertory Theatre and other local talent. The series also includes performances at events such as the Flint City Bucks soccer games and Flint Firebirds hockey games.
