About this grant
The Global Development Policy Center at Boston University — a prestigious institution of higher learning — has evolved into a major center of policy-oriented research for financial stability, human well-being and environmental sustainability. Its largest component, the Global China Initiative, was established with Mott Foundation support and has become a valuable and trusted source of open-source data on Chinese overseas investment and analysis on its impact. With this grant, Boston University’s Global Development Center will: 1) continue to track China’s overseas aid and investment; 2) shift the composition of such finance towards environmentally sustainable and socially inclusive projects; and 3) help build a new generation of scholars and researchers on these issues.
