About this grant
Convened under the Sustainable Development Solutions Network, the Science Panel for the Amazon (the Panel) brings together over 300 scientists to provide evidence-based guidance for protecting the Amazon basin. Over the last grant period, the Panel developed analysis and policy briefs on forest protection and the role of financial institutions and engaged with over 40 financial institutions. In the next grant period, the Panel will compile science-based policy guidance on tropical forests, sustainable cities and restoration efforts and expand dialogues with financial institutions across Amazonian countries.
