About this grant

China is home to the largest development finance institutions in the world and has invested over $500 billion in developing countries to support energy, infrastructure and logistics projects. Dialogue Earth (formerly China Dialogue) works with a network of specialist editors based in Latin America, Africa and Asia to provide accurate and sober reporting on China’s development and climate impacts. With prior Mott Foundation support, the grantee consolidated all its reporting within a single multilingual platform and developed a dedicated portal focusing on Latin America. With renewed support, Dialogue Earth continues to report on the impacts of Chinese development finance in Latin America.
