Promotion of Community Foundations in Argentina

About this grant

The program goal is to establish a solid base for a community foundation movement in Argentina. To achieve this, over the next 18 months, the Public-Private Lab, a fiscal sponsee of the Group of Foundations and Companies, will focus on strengthening its capacities as a community foundation support organization, adapting the community foundation model to the Argentine national context and identifying communities with the potential for its development. The grantee will also conduct strategic communications to promote the model and build leadership and community management capacities through training, mentorship and technical assistance to local leaders. The Public-Private Lab was established in Argentina in 2022 as an initiative to foster multisectoral partnerships that contribute to sustainable and comprehensive development. Established in 2001, the Group of Foundations and Companies is an Argentine civil association composed of foundations and companies committed to sustainable development. Its mission is to promote and mobilize resources strategically for the public good.
