About this grant
Heart of the Lakes Center for Land Conservation Policy is Michigan’s only organization whose mission is to serve and support land conservancies in the Great Lakes state. With prior Mott Foundation funding, the grantee continued to advance the work of its members and partners to protect and invest in land and water, initiated urban conservation services, and facilitated coalitions to promote the outdoors. With renewed funding, Heart of the Lakes Center for Land Conservation Policy will focus on investing in public lands, ensuring equitable access to the outdoors and supporting conservation organizations in communities all around the state.
