About this grant
Leaders across the political spectrum have shown increased interest in establishing saving and investment accounts at birth. Through its Early Wealth Initiative, the Aspen Institute’s Financial Security Program aims to leverage this interest to expand these accounts nationally. Over the next five years, the initiative will prioritize two main objectives: 1) developing and diversifying a bipartisan and cross-sector group of leaders and stakeholders who support early wealth accounts; and 2) inform policy discussions with evidence-based, high-quality program design and implementation principles. Planned activities during the initial grant period include policy research and analysis, convening and coalition-building, and policymaker and public education. Founded in 1949, the Aspen Institute is a global, nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering a free, just and equitable society.
