About this grant

Derecho Ambiente y Recursos Naturales is a Peruvian nongovernmental organization that supports Indigenous and grassroots groups in defending their environmental and community rights against the impacts of harmful infrastructure, extractive and energy projects. With prior support, the grantee incubated the Socio-Environmental Fund of Peru, which has since provided small grants and technical assistance to more than 40 local organizations affected by energy and infrastructure development. With renewed support, the Fund will continue channeling small grants for this purpose while also strengthening its institutional capacity to evolve into an independent organization.
